Welcome to the New Journal of Musicology Pedagogy

This issue (vol. 15, no. 2) marks an exciting moment for the Journal of Musicology Pedagogy: our first to appear in a new digital platform designed to reflect the diverse pedagogical practices that shape contemporary musicological teaching and learning. The site introduces a range of features intended to foster connection, exploration, and engagement across JMP’s content.

Readers will find articles with embedded audio, video, and other multimodal content; dynamic internal links across articles and web pages; content categories and topic tags that enhance discoverability and searchability; and interactive text features that encourage movement among articles, examples, and resources. The platform also includes a new mailing-list function for announcements and calls, as well as a streamlined, easier-to-use submission portal for authors. Together, these tools are meant to make JMP more accessible, more connected, and more responsive to the needs of our community.

I am deeply grateful to JMP‘s former editors, Editorial Board members past and present, and the AMS staff whose vision and labor made this transition possible. We invite you to explore and engage—and warmly encourage submissions that imagine new pedagogical questions, methods, and formats in the scholarship of teaching and learning in musicology.
